January 1 2011

Researched a little into some of the OSA risk factors and their associations today.   Wondered a little about Cushings syndrome, nuchal and central obesity and the increased hormonal effect of peritoneal adipose tissue and how they all affect an increase in OSA predisposition.  The ratio in measurements of hip vs waist are beginning to play a role as indicators of OSA, I wonder if GERD is coincidentally comorbid with a high delta of these parameters; it seems a logical assumption.  Will pick up my sisters Netter Anatomy text; need some review before the upcoming collaboration in Florida, particularly the dissection part.
